After the magnificent mash-up that was our Christmas shindig (click here for pics – warning: contains man dressed as dog), we’ve been recharging our batteries, filling our bellies and – most importantly – stockpiling a mass of amazing shorts, promos and other scintillating content to wow you with in February.

For those who haven’t been before, The Reel Presents is our monthly showcase of the very best work we’ve seen and posted in the past couple of months. Split between signed and un-signed talent (so you lovable production companies can pluck the fresh fruit), we show a fast-paced mixture of short films, pop promos, fashion/experimental films, branded content and anything else screenable and awesome. It’s all projected in the back room of Café 1001 (comfy sofas and relaxed atmosphere guaranteed) and we even pop a bit of dosh behind the bar to help lubricate your sense-receptors. All in all, a good night.

We also host a guest each month, and February’s is the fantabulous Caroline Bottomley, founder and head-honcho of Radar - the worldwide network of top music video directors. She’ll be talking about the awesome work Radar helps produce as well as showing off some of their most recent humdingers. If you’re a wannabe pop promo director, this one is a MUST!
